Soulland is a Danish menswear brand, founded in 2002 and owned by creative director Silas Adler and CEO Jacob Kampp Berliner. Creative director of Soulland, Silas Adler, was awarded Designer of the Year at DANSK Fashion Awards 2012.

With design principles and aesthetics deeply rooted in Scandinavian artisanship, Soulland aims to produce high quality menswear in forward thinking directions, whilst always bearing its legacy in mind. The Adler Fedora truly embodies the philosophy of Soulland; a traditional men’s fedora fused with a baseball cap, handmade in Copenhagen. Soulland presents two seasonal collections alongside two mid-season capsule collections per year.

Soulland has over the years joined forces with different institutions and designers who complement the brand. In 2013, Soulland was licensed to make a capsule collection with Jean de Brunhoff’s Babar The Elephant. The collection was launched in Colette. Soulland has also collaborated with design agency Playtype on a collection surrounding Susan Arnild’s marble paintings. Others collaboration partners include Danish bag merchants, Adax, and Shoreditch-located Goodhood Store. In 2011, Soulland was commissioned by the Danish Postal Service to design a stamp as the first menswear brand.

At Soulland, we take a high level of pride in the way we showcase our collections. Through the incorporation of elements from the digital age and the world of gastronomy, Soulland has been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to presenting its collections, something Soulland has received quite the critical acclaim for. Initiatives include pop-up restaurant, implementing QR-codes in a show with standing models, live-streaming the show while giving spectators the option of purchasing items straight of the runway and more.

While boasting the product selection with a focus on sales, Soulland’s online home exhibits the DNA of the brand through Bulletin posts concerned with fields of interest to the Soulland family alongside the Curated section, where people we admire are interviewed, whether they’re authors, professional skateboarders, musicians, filmmakers or artists. The website, made in collaboration with E-Types, won a bronze award at Creative Circle Awards 2014. Additionally, the website was nominated at the 2014 Webby Awards for Best Website in the “Fashion & Beauty” category.

Soulland opened up its first flagship store in Copenhagen in 2013, where the following year saw the opening of the first Soulland flagship store abroad, located in Bangkok. The shop hosts launch events as well as Soulland Sound; a series of in-store concerts with both Danish and international artists. The Bangkok store is located in Central Embassy in the heart of the Thai capital. Both flagship stores are designed with the purpose of showcasing Soulland’s collection in their proper environment and to truly exhibit the identity of Soulland to the end consumer.

Soulland has a continued presence in media outlets such as i-D Magazine, Dazed & Confused, The Guardian, GQ, Monocle and many others.
