Charlotte Knowles is a London-based womenswear label founded by Central Saint Martins graduates Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault. Designed for a strong, confident woman, their work focusses on refined pieces and intricate details through layered fabrications, padded cups and unexpected cutouts. Their SS19 collection implemented the functionality of activewear. Nostalgia-inducing and quintessentially British prints were reimagined on hyper-feminine yet utilitarian pieces. The brand has been showing with Fashion East for the past two seasons.
Charlotte Knowles will be present during London Fashion Week Men's as part of 1 Granary's VOID project. The exhibition, on display at the BFC Showspace, presents the work of six independent designers through the eyes of six prominent creative directors and their teams. Charlotte Knowles was paired with creative director Ted Lovett, photographer Harley Weir and stylist Georgia Pendlebury, who explored the label's perennial femininity through a series of provocative images.
