Rebecca Jeffs is a Paris-based womenswear designer. She graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2018, where she was awarded the L'Oréal Creative Award. Her graduate collection explored the semiotics of the feminine, analysing gender roles through material objects such as hair clips, shells and fishnet stockings. Craftsmanship is at the heart of her couture approach to design.
Rebecca Jeffs will be present during London Fashion Week Men's as part of 1 Granary's VOID project. The exhibition, on display at the BFC Showspace, presents the work of six independent designers through the eyes of six prominent creative directors and their teams. Rebecca's collection was reinterpreted by creative director Marina Francisco, photographer Chris Rhodes, filmmaker Albert Moya and stylist Danielle van Camp, who cultivated an atmosphere of surreality in which the photographs were not to be read as fashion images, but rather as a series of still lives, self-timed photographs, and films.
